The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) announced (see NOTICE) that certain victims of Hurricane Milton will receive an additional six months to submit beneficial ownership information (BOI) reports (including updates or corrections to prior reports) required by the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). This would include all Associations in Brevard County and the new deadline would be July 1, 2025. So, Associations may want to hold off their submissions to see if exemption efforts are successful or wait for the results of your Board elections.
